Shadow Box
Some things are kept because the object itself holds part of the memory.
A shadow box gives those small pieces somewhere to remain visible: photographs, letters, ticket stubs, dried flowers, tiny souvenirs, or whatever else would mean very little to anyone who didn’t know the story behind it.
That’s part of what makes them interesting.
Not everything we preserve needs to explain itself to everyone else.
Some things only need to remind us.
