Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
Some traditions survive because people believe in them. Others survive because someone benefits from keeping them alive.
Ninth House follows Alex Stern into Yale’s secret societies, where privilege, power, and occult rituals exist beneath the university’s polished surface. What begins as observation quickly becomes something much more dangerous as Alex discovers just how much can be hidden behind old institutions and carefully protected traditions.
It’s dark academia where the secret societies aren’t merely mysterious.
The magic is real, the rituals have consequences, and somebody is always responsible for cleaning up afterward.
