Night 2 belongs to Perchta, the Winter Hag who walks the solstice nights with a lantern in hand and judgment in her bones. Some call her the Belly-Slitter. Some call her the Guardian of the Quiet. All agree she sees through every lie whispered in the dark.

Tonight’s Tale:

Perchta appears when winter is at its stillest. In Alpine folklore, she drifts through homes during the longest nights, checking that chores are finished, offerings are left, and intentions are clean. Blessings for the deserving. Punishment for the careless.

She is beauty and terror woven together — a shapeshifting spirit who becomes a white-robed woman or a monstrous crone depending on what your soul calls forward. Night 2 honors that edge… the thin line between comfort and fear.
